History and Beliefs

Gospel Beliefs, Form of Worship & Confession of Faith

The form of worship at all our services aims to give due reverence to God, whilst at the same time giving expression to profound Christian joy. The preaching is centred around Christ, and in particular His saving death on the cross, where the thrust of the message is forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ. The church Confession of Faith is the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689.

Knowing and Serving the Lord

We believe that prayer is essential and that without the Lord’s power, help and assistance in answer to His people’s prayers no real spiritual and lasting blessing will be known and enjoyed. However, along with continual and earnest prayer we labour in Christian service with zeal for the Gospel. We see this balance in the lives of many in the past who experienced great things from the Lord in answer to prayer while at the same time labouring strenuously and extensively for the Gospel.

Bible Version & Hymn Books

We use the New King James Version of the Bible, and sing from ‘Psalms & Hymns of Reformed Worship’.

Formation & Pastor

Edmonton Baptist Chapel is an Independent Reformed Baptist church in North London. A brief history of the church can be seen here.

In 1979 the church called Rev. Roger Brazier to be their Pastor and on the 1st January, 1980 he commenced his ministry.
